Plant: Origanum onites- Izmir thyme, also known as "Bilyalı Thyme", is very rich in essential oil (up to %4). Carrying valuable substances such as Thymol, Carvacrol in its essential oil content, İzmir Bilyalı Thyme has antioxidant effect as well as essential oil substances. Flavone compounds are also available.
- It can be drunk 3-4 times a day in the form of tea, depending on its intended use. It is also used as a spice in salads and meat dishes.
